So Caitlin had 3 weeks in Chicago.. It sounds like a long time and it is but I had to work during the week and so the most time we could spend together and explore had to be the weekends. We debated long and hard as to how to make the most of them and finally concluded with a long weekend in Orlando, Florida for New Years covering the basics Disney, Universal Studios and Sea World and a whirlwind trip to Las Vegas the following weekend. Reflecting on what we did makes me tired, but it was worth it and we had an awesome time. I can't really say which one was my favourite as both destinations are fabulous in their own way. Seeing the Grand Canyon though was a true highlight as well as discovering my love for rollercoasters and channelling my inner Minnie!
Disney World
Trusting our favourite airline.. Southwest! Free cookies, wholewheat pita biscuits or cheese crackers!
Exploring Minnie's House and her fridge!
Mickey's house and his post box!
The rides we should have done about 20 years ago..
What happens when Caitlin convinces you to go on a water ride unprepared...
Minnie and Mickey's Christmas Parade. Wow we were so lucky to see them in person!Onto Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
Epcot. Probably need to explore this a bit more next time - a bit too sciency for the type of holiday we were going for!
Aerosmith designed indoor rollercoaster - felt like my brain was loose afterwards.
Where your stomach comes up your mouth. Giant lift that drops at random up and down in a haunted hotel.
