First Snow.

Gosh, I love my dog. However, that is a really a side note. This post is way over due but I'm glad I am making it happen to show you the first snow of winter really (let's forget about Halloween snow... it technically wasn't even winter yet) and Mila's first snowy experience.

As the snow basically only lasted one day, these shots were all taken on the same day at different times. You will see how Mila's disposition changes as the day goes on.
"OK so this stuff is falling which is yum and I'm happy provided I am being cuddled and adored."

"Um WAIT! What is happening?! You can not be serious!"

"Holy cow! This is an EXTREMELY unflattering shot you've caught me in! Can't you see my delicate puppy paws are cold?!"

"Fine. I'll give it a go."

"Whoopeeeee!!!!!"

"Practising for what will be one of my first lessons to learn in puppy school - coming back!  I'll do it but only for a treat!"

Of course not the whole day was about Mila.. some of it was also dedicated to building our next snowman starting with the letter, "I". Don't ask me why, but in the past there has been Iris, Irene, Ira and now this one? I can't even remember. At least we got to use our snowman kit. Finally!

OK, back to Mila.

"Gosh, I'm handsome, look at that jaw bone!"

"I'm in this one too! Promise! I'm just snuggling and well-camouflaged."

"Bar a few photos (ahem), I look fabulous in most but this is by far is my favourite. Look at those lips and those pearly whites. Wow, playing in the snow is pretty exhausting so I have to get my snooze-on. Cheers for now."

Mila Mail!

It has been a while since I did a Mila update so I thought it would be fun to add some pictures of Mila demonstrating her remarkable elongation! Wow she is so long! Caitlin and I joked that she sleeps like a Songololo which she still does all curled up only this time she now has a song that goes with it: to the tune of "A-wimba-we, a-wimba-we" from The Lion King which I think is part of "in the jungle", we sing "a-longi-songi, longi-songi, longi-songi, longi-songi" and pretty much stop at that, but in this way we are honouring Mila's extradinary gains, both physically and mentally. In fact, along with rolling over, sitting and pawing, lying down and bowing (yes bowing.. I saw it on my SA doggie calendar!), she has also learnt to jump on the couch and jump up to the top to peruse her kingdom as Queen Mila. We are still working on discouraging her from making the couch hers but in a +/- 500sq ft apartment there are not a lot of places to expend crazy puppy energy so we'll have to think of something better with which to entice her!

Looking all regal on perch number 1.

Looking a little scared actually on perch number 2.

"What do you think of my new collar guys? I know it's from Italy and all and it's pink so it matches my ears but to be honest I feel like a fool (all the doggies in CP are laughing at me!) and it itches and I can't get it OFF!!!!!!!!"

"I must say though, not all my new things are bad. I do love my new bed. It's chocolate brown just like me and it came with a new sausage dog toy (which I haven't been able to destroy yet! but I am working on it!) and a very cuddly Santa-style blanket. Maybe with luxury like this I will spend less time on the couch. Just maybe. "
"Nah, probably not. I still love the couch."

"Until next time amigos, keep chewing!"
