Ground-breaking Blizzard!

We've only been in Chicago for one winter and we were (un)lucky enough to be part of the third most impressive blizzard in Chicago's history. The whole city shut down: schools closed, most people didn't go to work, the mail couldn't be delivered. It was a ghost town! I did go to work but was able to come home a little early and Ryan and I were able to go and play in the snow. Yay for snow days! It was perfect! 

The first part of this post is footage and pictures from the night of the blizzard. Ryan went out in the eye of the storm at 11pm to experience it. The second part is the snow day and the frolicking in the park.

 In case I forgot my own name, 2 bottles of wine later and anything is possible. 

Moral of the story, buy myself a pasta maker.

Cruelty in the MGM. These lions are born into captivity and chill in the "lion habitat" all day. Not sure what happens to them after their time in Vegas. Guess I'm spoilt because I have seen how they are supposed to live.

 The best milkshake in Vegas. Nutella something. We shared it between 3.

 I mean... I have no words. 

 For mom and Caitlin and Tuesday night CSI on M-net - until they became too scary and mom refused to watch them! hehe

 

It's been real, but I think I need a holiday from my holiday.
